Kat Hannon was born in Glasgow 1981 and lived there until her early teens. When she moved to the north of England Kat studied Fashion: Stylng and Image Making at the University of Salford.
Kat’s training as a stylist fed her fascination with image and form, and Kat developed a passion for photography and image making. Re-focussing her training, Kat went on to study photography and printing at Central St. Martins.
On graduation Kat worked for Arena magazine as a design assistant. Settling into London life, and working in the photography industry by shooting her first clients and friends, Kat was convinced that this was her future. She became a photographic assistant to Chris Bell, a photographer operating out of Camden Town.
Kat began to work as a freelance photographer in her own right and is now working and running her own freelance business. She has had a variety of high-profile clients including EMI, British Airways and The Bridge Group.
Kat takes great pride in the diversity of her work, believing that observation and experimentation is the key to creativity: every client wants their images to be unique and to stand out. Kat, whether producing portraits , landscapes or specialised shoots in the studio or on location, provides a bespoke service. With the highest standard of professionalism and quality of work, she brings her own ideas and inspirations to every shoot, whether personal or professional.
